Siberian Summer chronicles the adventures of three retired small-town Ontario women who decide to take a vacation on the Trans-Siberian Railway. Based on an actual trip the playwright took in 2008 with his mother and her friends, this whimsical comedy examines the often humorous and sometimes poignant cultural differences between nationalities and generations.

Lore is written by Playwrights’ Unit members Jodi Essery and Attila Clemann

Lore is a duet. A young girl prays that her dead mother be returned to her. Instead, an emaciated 7-foot-tall Viking falls from the sky. Our young heroine must open herself up to an unexpected and uninvited stranger who does not speak her language, and lives by none of the rules of her everyday world. Together they will rage, defy, laugh, eat, struggle, become lost, fail, hold on, and step into a blizzard of not knowing in an effort to return the Viking from whence he came.

Come to the Firehall Theatre and enjoy the wit and culture of Siberian Summer and Lore.
