Blues Artists Perform Once More in Perth
Blues musicians Sue Foley and Peter Karp first came to Perth a year ago to present the show, “He Said – She Said.” Come the 25th of June, the blues duo will be performing once again at The Studio Theatre, this time with a show better than ever, and a CD to back up their performance.
Foley, who’s fresh from a trip to Europe, said that the upcoming show will be different and better compared to the one last year. Their record was released in March of this year, and has consistently stayed atop the United States blues roots charts for 6 consecutive weeks, Foley proudly added.
For June 25, Foley said she and Peter Karp will be on stage with a full band, complete with drums and an upright bass. Foley will be on guitars while Karp will be hitting the piano and dobro guitar – making the show more theatrical than it was last year.
This year’s “He Said – She Said” will feature a handful of originals penned by Karp and Foley themselves. The compositions started out as letters written between two artists who corresponded for over a year. As the months went by, the letters became more revealing, and eventually became songs.
