Free Music Festival in Perth to Celebrate 20th Birthday

For two decades, the trees along the Tay River in picturesque Stewart Park in Perth’s downtown district have attracted families and those who want to listen to good music coming from some of the most talented Canadian artists and even performers from abroad. The fact that people attend these concerts without fail every year speaks of the quality of music performed at the venue.

As a way of marking the music festival’s 20th anniversary, the free event’s organizers have put together an impressive roster of talents, most of whom were chosen by the public as certified favorites through the festival’s rich 20-year history. Heather Hansgen, the show’s producer, said that all-time favorites such as Rick Fines, Suzie Vinnick, Lynn Miles, Jenny Whiteley, and a whole lot more will be at this year’s festivities.

In order to stay afloat, the free festival is being supported by over 100 local sponsors, making sure that 1: it stays free and 2: all the fans enjoy it. The festival’s 20th anniversary wouldn’t be unique without any special events, and that’s exactly what participants this year can expect to see at the venue, with a town crier and birthday cakes among some of the spectacles sure to wow everyone in the family.
