Nathan Smith in Oakfield Rugby Park

Nathan Smith, a local trad music hero and fiddling phenom, will present an evening of original songs and traditional tunes on Oakfield’s intimate stage. Nathan will be joined by long-time bandmate and collaborator Kyle Kirkpatrick (guitar/dobro), a master instrumentalist and singer, and a fellow member of The Barrel Boys.

Nathan Smith is a fiddle player and singer based in Smiths Falls. He is known for his powerful tenor vocal and a playful fiddling style informed by a decades-long journey through numerous genres and traditions. Nathan’s upbeat original compositions reveal the depth of his experience and trace the path of his explorations of bluegrass, old-time, Québécois, and French fiddling.
