Bracebridge Job Fair

The Bracebridge Job Fair is taking place on February 23rd at the The Bracebridge Sportsplex from 1-6pm. This is a great opportunity for job seekers to meet interested employers. Regardless of all the technology we have today, it is still easier and faster to share information between job seekers and employers in-person.

Have some copies of your resume ready, as well as a 20 to 30 second introduction to use with employers. You don’t have to sound like you are reading a script, just be ready to share a bit about yourself incase you are asked. At a fair, you have an opportunity to stand out in person in a way that you might not on your resume, so be confident! May this be a success for both the job-seeker and employer!

For more information please contact Wendy Bridle by phone: (705) 646-0475 Ext. 3105 or by email:wbridle@northerlightscanada.ca.

Muskoka actor Adam Nicholson has become well known to country music fans from across the globe for his appearance in George Canyon’s latest video, Better Be Home Soon.

Nicholson grew up in Mortimer’s Point in Muskoka and plays the part of a father in turmoil in this heart wrenching video.

One of the shots required him to spend hours on his back on damp pavement in cooler temperatures wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt and t-shirt. However the actor said that the crew brought him a coat and hot drinks between takes.

Since Better Be Home Soon, Nicholson has completed a short film as part of the Toronto 48-Hour Film Project called My Best Friend Was an Alien.
