Home Regata Weekend by Carleton Canoe Club

Join the Carleton Place Canoe Club for the Home Regatta Weekend on July 22nd – 23rd, 2017.

The Carleton Place Canoe Club is a not-for-profit organization with over 120 years of history. Managed by volunteers and professional staff, we offer a variety of paddling programs which are designed to promote a positive self-image, an appreciation for the sport and the spirit of cooperation and fair play for participant’s ages 6 years old and up. Our programs provide a group environment where beginner and experienced paddlers can develop skills in all boats; singles, doubles, fours, as well as war canoe and dragon boat. Competitive programs provide the opportunity for all ages to compete in regattas throughout the region, right up to a Provincial and National level.

Coaches, staff and volunteers work hard to ensure the safety of all participants on the water. As well as being competent paddlers, all coaches at the club are certified through our National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), are confident swimmers and have Motor Boat Operator Certification. Safety boats are always within sight and ready to respond. To provide a safe and secure environment for our weekly summer camp programs the minimum ratio of staff to participant is 1:10.
