Cook together in the community kitchen on the first Tuesday of every month! Learn new skills, take home food. Childcare is available.<\/p>\n

Join us for What’s Cooking in Westport. If you’re interested in donating to our Westport Food Sharing Shelf, check out the list of ideas coming from this month’s recipes! Focus on healthy eating and food skills development. Group members participate in both planning, hands on cooking and nutrition education discussions each month. Participants take food items home. Includes a volunteer development component.<\/p>\n

Last month, in addition to making chili and cornbread from scratch, we’ve learn how to turn the chili into a salad, with lettuce, tomato, onion, guacamole, and chipotle ranch dressing. For dessert, we’ve worked on how to do an apple taste test, with a banana nut dip!<\/p>\n
