Black\/dark bags will not be accepted for either curbside collection or at the Portland Transfer Station.<\/p>\n<h3>Type of Material That Can Be Recycled<\/h3>\n<h5>Plastics #1-7 (including but not limited to):<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Water\/pop\/juice bottles<\/li>\n<li>butter\/margarine\/yogurt tubs<\/li>\n<li>plastic egg cartons<\/li>\n<li>plastic bottles (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, ibuprofen, lotion, liquid soap, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, salad dressing, peanut butter, toilet bowl cleaner, laundry soap, disinfectant wipes, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Brown, green, white flower pots \u2013 MUST BE CLEAN, absolutely no dirt in them<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All recycling must be clean. Liquid and food are not recyclable. Please ensure all recycling containers are rinsed and clean.<\/p>\n<p><strong>STOP!<\/strong>&nbsp;Just because it\u2019s plastic doesn\u2019t mean it\u2019s recyclable.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5>Metal &amp; Aluminum<\/h5>\n<p>Including but not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clean aluminum food trays (pie plates, take out, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Clean aluminum foil (no food debris)<\/li>\n<li>Clean metal &amp; aluminum cans (soup, pasta, soft drink, energy drink<\/li>\n<li>Canned meat<\/li>\n<li>Canned Vegetables<\/li>\n<li>Canned Pet food<\/li>\n<li>etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>All recycling must be clean.<\/strong>&nbsp;Liquid and food are not recyclable.
