\nDAWN TYLER WATSON & THE BEN RACINE BAND<\/p>\n
Blues Music Magazine in the U.S. has called Dawn Tyler Watson \u201cone of Canada\u2019s true Blues treasures\u201d. Born in England and raised in Ontario she moved to Montreal decades ago where she earned a BFA in Jazz Studies & Theatre at Concordia. Her powerful, soulful voice is also perfect for singing the Blues \u2013 which she loves as much as Jazz \u2013 and she\u2019s won 3 Canadian Maple Blues Awards and 9 Quebec Lys Blues Awards over the years to prove it! Last year she teamed up with one of the hottest Soul\/Blues\/R&B groups in Quebec \u2013 the Ben Racine Band \u2013 and travelled to the famed International Blues Challenge in Memphis. They won first place beating out over 260 bands from around the world and Ben won Guitarist Of The Year \u2013 an amazing double honour. Dawn\u2019s latest album \u201cJawbreaker\u201d was nominated for the Maple Blues Award for Recording Of The Year in 2017 and she has another record coming out shorty backed once again by the Ben Racine Band. Can\u2019t wait! Although Ben has played BOTR before this is Dawn\u2019s first visit and we are honoured to finally have her here. What a fabulous double bill!<\/p>\n
