Events Happening in Orangeville

Here’s a quick look at some of the events taking place in Orangeville this month.

Happening until the 7th of November, the Alton Mill will be hosting “Out on a Limb,” a show that features 6 artists celebrating the beauty of trees through paintings, photographs, ceramics, sculpture and other media. Log-on to www.altonmill.ca for more information on the event.

Theatre Orangeville’s very own production, “Skin Flick,” is running from the 14th until the 31st of October. The play tells the story of a down-on-their-luck couple struggling to pay the bills. In their desperation, they turn to the idea of making a skin flick. This funny yet endearing comedy has received great reviews, so if you’re looking for some good old belly laughs, check it out. From the 16th to the 17th of October, the Orangeville Art Group will be hosting its 41st annual Fall Show and Sale, to be held at the Orangeville fairgrounds from 10 in the morning to the 5 in the afternoon on both days. Experience the Headwaters Arts Festival

Headwaters Arts FestivalCome. Experience Headwaters in a while new light. In music, dance and words, paintings, photographs, textiles and sculptures, our artists will open your eyes.

Indulge yourself in fine art and fine cuisine, both created in the Headwaters region. THe Opening Night Gala on Friday September 24th is the introduction to the art works of 37 Artists juried by several judges. Come meet the amazing artists and be the first to select from their best show yet.

This premiere event runs over three weekends during the fall colours tourism season: September 24 until October 11, 2010.

The 2010 Headwaters Arts Festival includes a Juried Art Show & Sale featuring 37 local and 5 invited artists, an Author’s Night, an Opening Night Gala, open studios, concerts, dance, Kids’ Fest events and much more.
