Celebrating the Season

 

Each Christmas season the Delta Mill Society installs large lighted candles and wreaths in the Old Stone Mill windows and people come from many miles around to see this beautiful seasonal display.

The Old Town Hall will be open from 5 pm to 8:30 pm featuring our Christmas Gift Table with all sorts of interesting items.
Hot Dogs & Refreshments will be available for sale in the hall.

Lower Beverley Lake Park will be lit with over 100,000 lights. You can take a ride on the Wagon from the Delta Fair Grounds that will take you to the park and back.

Admission to the Old Stone Mill and Old Town Hall is FREE (donations appreciated).
Entrance fee to Lower Beverley Lake Park $5 for adults 13 and older.

December 7&8CELEBRATING THE SEASON Lower Beverley Lake Park in Delta will be lit with over 90,000 lights. Lower Beverley Lake Park invites you to Celebrate the Season 2018

NEW FOR 2018 – Open Friday and Saturday nights!!

Between November 30 and December 22 the park will be magically lit on Friday and Saturday nights, between 5:00 pm and 8:30 pm, with over 100,000 lights!! Santa Clause, wagon rides, Christmas carols, hot chocolate and much more. Wagon rides from the Delta Fairgrounds to the park. Admission $5. 

December 8: Start the evening with Lasagna at Delta United Church 4-7pm $12.

Celebrating the Season in the Rideau Lakes

There are several great ways to celebration the season in the Rideau Lakes. Starting with the Lower Beverley Lake Park lights. Take a magical sleigh ride inside Lower Beverley Lake Park and enjoy the 10s of 1000s of sparkling festive lights announcing the joys of this winter season. Open Saturdays beginning November 19, 2011 and running throughout December, your breath will be taken away with this wonderful transformation!

Beverley Lake Park is located at 146 Lower Beverley Lake Road, Delta, Ontario.

Then on November 26, 2011 join the Village of Delta as they celebrate this festive season in an old-fashioned sleigh ride and evening of carols, lights, decorations, entertainment and refreshments. Call Pat Phillips for info 613-928-2712.

The following day, November 25, 2011 village residents, neighbours and visitors are all welcome to Elgin to enjoy a walk-about the Village as travellers begin at one Church, light Christmas lights, begin the narrative of the Christmas Story, visit more community sites, sing carols, light more lights and end up together at the Community Hall for refreshments and celebration of the Holy Season. All begins at 7:00pm. Contact Pastor Bob at 613-359-6118 for more information.

On December 3rd, there is the Athens Parade of Light starting at 7pm on the main street of Athens. Last but not least, you can celebrate the season at the Old Stone Mill starting November 19th and each Saturday to December 17th during Celebrating the Season come and visit the Delta Mill and Museum for a tour.

Come out to one or all of these events to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year!

Christmas in the Rideau Lakes

There are several festive and fun events happening in the Rideau Lakes a surrounding areas this year. For a full list visit our events calendar.

Start November off right by taking some time to honour our veterans. There are Remembrance Day celebrations in most villages so be sure to attend the one happening closest to you.

Celebrating the Season DeltaQuickly get into the Christmas Spirit by attend the 6th Annual “Celebrating the Season” beginning November 20th! The Lower Beverley Lake Park Management Board invites you to enjoy the sights and sounds of Delta’s “Celebrating the Season”.

Bundle up for an evening stroll, or wagon ride around the Park to see the trees and buildings all magically lit, with over 45,000 lights. Christmas carols will be playing throughout the park with a Nativity and Dickens corner lit for your pleasure.

Stop by Santa’s workshop for a visit and a photo opportunity with Mr. & Mrs. Claus. Hot Chocolate and cookies will be provided.

Free wagon rides will be available throughout the park on half hour intervals between the hours of 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Wagon rides will be available from the United Church, the Mill Museum, and from the Village Boat Launch which is located on the park entrance road.

Meals will be available each evening at the United Church starting at 4:00 p.m. Musical entertainment will be offered each evening at a village church starting at 6:30 p.m.
