The city will present its 5th Annual Veterans Day Celebration to honor all of the veterans of Winter Park, Florida. The city calls all veterans that have served in any military campaign or military branch in honor of our nation’s freedom. This event pays tribute to their dedicated service to our country and the community is invited to join us in honoring these distinguished men and women.

Beginning at 9:30 a.m., the VFW Post 2093 Community Band will be entertaining guests as they visit with organizations and services that offer resources specifically for veteran needs. At 10 a.m., the official program will begin with musical tributes, anecdotal speakers including Lt. Chuck Nadd, and recognition of veterans according to the various military branches served.

The Tour d’Elegance is considered by many to be the heart and soul of the Concours d’Elegance weekend. Invited Concours participants ‘exercise’ their automobiles for a ceremonial and qualifying cruise. The mile-long cavalcade of more than 70 classic and exotic classic cars begins in Winter Park’s Hannibal Square and travels down Park Avenue, proudly escorted by the Winter Park Police Department. The Tour will conclude at the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens. Guests will enjoy a garden party lunch with premium food and drink overlooking Lake Osceola. A presentation of Packards will be on display on the front lawn to showcase the 2015 Honor Marque. Scenic boat tours will be available for guests to explore Winter Park through the chain of lakes and canals.

The City of Winter Park, Rollins College, Sodexo, Think Creative, Inc., and Winter Park Chamber of Commerce have joined forces for the third year to create “Feed the Need”, a powerful fundraising engine, purely developed to raise money to help Second Harvest Food Bank provide more food for families in need.

Help end hunger in Winter Park by donating as part of the City of Winter Park team! In central Florida, over 172,000 children struggle with hunger. When these kids have no food, we have no choice but to respond. Feed the Need presented by Florida Distributing Company, Mayflower Retirement Community and Winter Park Memorial Hospital, is not your average food drive. It is the first of its kind, community-wide effort with campaign partners. Thank you for your support as we work to end hunger!

Did you know that last year Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida distributed more than 36 million pounds of grocery product – the equivalent of more than 24 million meals?

Join the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce for a fall-themed happy hour at the Winter Park Village. This fun fall evening will feature drinks and appetizers provided by your favorite Winter Park Village restaurants, plus live entertainment and a photo booth. The Winter Park Playhouse jumps into the Fall with this smash Off-Broadway hit!
