Walker Friendly Events

Keeping Central Florida Fit is our mission. Walkers are encouraged to participate in all Track Shack races. Municipalities require that road ways are clear of participants and opened as soon as the race is complete. That is why a maximum pace of 16 minutes per mile is set. If the pace isn’t maintained, race officials will ask you to move to the sidewalk to re-open the roadways.
Stroller Restrictions

Each year, PAFW seeks out designers, design students and fashion aficionados to apply for the Emerging Designer Contest. This annual competition recognizes up-and-coming talent and challenges designers to a series of tasks to determine one winner that is announced the night of the main runway show.

Contestants will be asked to submit an application and sketches of their work, once chosen to compete in the Emerging Designer Competition, showcase three of their designs to an elite panel of judges followed with a Project Runway inspired challenge. Five semi-finalists will be announced at the Emerging Designer Fashion Show, then they will have to feature their Project Runway inspired challenge at the main runway show on October 17th. The winner will receive a month’s worth of showcasing in a PAFW boutique accompanied by a trunk show and professional photographs of their looks featured on the runway.
