Christmas in the Park

Each year, on the first Thursday of December, the Morse Museum helps launch the holiday season in Winter Park when it lights up Tiffany windows in Central Park and presents the Bach Festival Choir and Brass Ensemble in concert. This December is the 41st annual celebration of Christmas in the Park.

Christmas in the Park was started by Hugh and Jeannette McKean, the Morse Museum’s benefactors, in 1979 as a way to share a part of their rare Tiffany collection with the public in an informal setting. Today, the Morse and the City of Winter Park co-sponsor the event.

The event begins at 6:15 pm when the signal is given to turn on the window lights. The concert concludes about 8:00 pm, and the windows remain lighted until 8:30 pm.

Winter Park Outlook

Register Now For The Winter Park Outlook Transportation Summit.

A regional approach to solving transportation issues has never been more important. Taking a lead role in addressing our traffic challenges, the Winter Park Chamber has gathered a panel of experts to discuss solutions at our annual Outlook luncheon, this year devoted to a Transportation Summit on Sept. 25 at the Alfond Inn.

From autonomous cars to the future of our roads and railways, our panelists will discuss emerging trends in the transportation industry and how they might best serve our residents.
We wanted to include an interactive element to gather your opinions on the state of transportation in our community. To that end, we will electronically survey attendees during the luncheon and share the results in real time.

Stanley Donen Tribute Film

When the transition is being made from silent films to `talkies’, everyone has trouble adapting. Don and Lina have been cast repeatedly as a romantic couple, but when their latest film is remade into a musical, only Don has the voice for the new singing part. After a lot of practise with a diction coach, Lina still sounds terrible, and Kathy, a bright young aspiring actress, is hired to record over her voice.
