Special Notices for Celebration Residents

Celebration townspeople listen up. Here are some announcements you might want to take note of. Take your time to read through them so you’ll be better informed on what’s happening here in town.

Due Date for HOA Assessments

First up, members of the Celebration Residential Owners Association are reminded that the deadline of submission of assessments for October is on the first day of that month. Payments not made to accounts will incur fees and interest after the last day of October. Statements will be sent to members 10 days before the due date, giving you more than enough time to get your paperwork in order. Individuals who do not receive their statements are advised to call the Town Hall at 407-566-1200 between normal business hours, Mondays through Fridays. You can also pay your statements through the internet at www.ccmcnet.com.

Northbound Lanes Still Under Construction

Drivers are also reminded that the northbound lanes of Celebration Place that lead to US 192 are still under construction. Lighted barricades are in place to warn motorists, and since the road temporarily has one lane, traffic can get bad sometimes. Exercise caution when passing by the area and watch out for activity. Work is expected to be finished next month.

Pay It Forward Foundation Sports Camp Coming to Celebration

Deshea Townsend has been a major asset of the Pittsburgh Steelers, playing with the team for 12 seasons as a top defensive back, and helping them snag two Super Bowl championships. Outside the field, Townsend is also an active presence. Together with his wife, he’s helped the Pay It Forward Foundation by passing along fundamental football and leadership skills to young kids living in Pennsylvania and Mississippi over the course of the last decade. Now the Pay It Forward Foundation is expanding its reach and is coming over to Celebration, Florida with a camp tailor-made for kids in the Orlando area.

Taking place on the 24th of June, the camp is open to children who want to learn from the very best in football. Townsend will be on hand to dish out instructions, and over a dozen NFL players are also expected to show up to teach the children.

Confirmed to join are Pittsburgh Steelers Hines Ward, Ike Taylorm, Casey Hampton, James Farrior, and Bryant McFadden. This year’s 1st round draft pick Maurkice Pouncey and retired player Kordell Stewart are also set to be at the camp.

Mark your calendars and have your kids join this great sports camp! Not only are they learning from the pros, they also pick up valuable lessons about life along the way.
