The Veterans Club of Celebration was organized to provide support to honorably discharged Veterans (any military service branch) and to participate and support community events. The Celebrators is a club for residents over 50 years of age in the Town of Celebration in Central Florida. We are a 501(c)(7) tax exempt organization. We started in December of 1997 and presently have over 300 members. We are a non profit organization and are committed to education, lifelong learning, volunteer service and having fun!

We meet on the first Wednesday of the month at the Community Center at 851 Celebration Ave, beginning at 9:00 am with a social gathering (coffee and baked goods) and the business meeting starting at 9:30 am.

Happy Hour is also on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 5 pm at the Windmill Restaurant (Celebration Golf Club) – good food & drinks and an opportunity to meet new friends!

Our monthly Luncheon is on the 2nd Monday at Noon (at a different restaurant every month) and Dining Out is on the 4th Thursday of the month at 6 pm (also a different restaurant each month).

Balsam Range, the 2018 International Bluegrass Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year, has become one of the genre’s most award-winning acts. The group has garnered 13 IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) awards on the heels of eight critically-acclaimed albums. Balsam Range has left audiences spellbound while headlining major festivals from coast-to-coast, selling out venues across the nation and in multiple appearances at the Grand Ole Opry. In addition to winning Entertainer of the Year, Balsam Range vocalist Buddy Melton won IBMA’s Male Vocalist of the Year and bass player Tim Surrett won IBMA’s Bass Player of the Year in 2018.

A Celebration tradition! Join Celebration Town Center 21st Annual Now Snowing event nightly November 30th through December 31st.*

Now Snowing, Central Florida’s original and premier “Snowing” event, offers one of the area’s only synthetic ice rinks, special community performances by some of the area’s top young talent, and special concert events throughout the season. Now Snowing is a month-long Winter Wonderland Spectacular featuring strolling Charles Dickens style Carolers**, photos with Santa**, horse drawn carriage rides, ice skating, train rides, and nightly snowfall at 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 and 9:00 PM. It’s a true throwback to the traditional family style holiday.

In addition to the everyday fun at Now Snowing Nightly, you can catch a A Countdown to Christmas on December ^14th – an evening filled with young talent from across the United States and featuring talent seen on national television and radio, and more. Many Canadians have a day off work on December 25 and many spend the day with close relatives or friends. It is customary to exchange gifts, enjoy a special festive meal and, perhaps, attend a special church service.

In some Canadian families and in the United States, a mythical figure called Santa Claus brings gifts. He travels on a sleigh pulled by reindeer, enters homes via the chimney and leaves presents and candy in Christmas stockings or in a pile under the Christmas tree. In other families, individual members exchange carefully selected gifts. Popular gifts are toys, games and candy for children and clothes, music, alcohol and practical or luxury items for adults. Canadians may open their presents on Christmas Eve after a special church service or during the morning or after lunch on Christmas Day.

The original meaning of Christmas is a special church service, or mass, to celebrate the birth of Christ. The story of the Nativity, or the events surrounding the birth of Jesus, are particularly important in religious celebrations of Christmas. However, many traditions that are around today have their roots in pre-Christian winter festivals. These include the importance of candles and decorations made from evergreen bushes and tree, symbolizing everlasting light and life.
