Come out on Wednesday, March 26, for an afternoon of board games and live music at the LU Outpost of Community Clothing Assistance. Admission is $5 at the door and includes refreshments, 16 boardgames/puzzles to choose from, live acoustic music, and raffle draws.
The fundraiser will be running from 12pm-4:50pm. Join us for a great cause!
Tickets are $2 every half hour.
Hosted by Lakehead University’s Department of Mathematical Sciences, the Canadian Math Kangaroo Contest proves the powress of our young mathematical minds. The Canadian Math Kangaroo Contest held in Thunder Bay on Sunday, March 23 in the University’s Ryan Building. The department has hosted it last year as well and it was received with great enthusiasm by the community.
Registration closed March 10th. The competition features students from grade 1-8. For more information visit www.kangaroo.math.ca
Come and see what the students of Lakehead University have been up to by visiting their open invitation to the Lakehead University Major Studio Exhibition. This special exhibit runs from March 7 – 30 at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery on 1080 Keewatin St. Viewing times are from 2:33 pm till closing.
You can also visit the Lakehead University Annual Student Juried Exhibition at the same time, this exhibit has an extended running date of March 7 – April 6.
The opening Reception is Friday, March 14 at 7:30 pm.
