Ballroom Dance – Beginners

Cost is $90 per person, per session. This eight-week class is held each Tuesday evening in the Winter Park Farmers Market. Please plan to arrive 30 minutes early to the first class in order to register and pay fees, cash or check will be accepted as payment at the door. Please text the instructor, Stuart Nichols, at 321-662-5565 with any questions.

A portion of the proceeds benefits Keep Winter Park Beautiful.

Beginners Classes are from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Intermediate Classes are from 8:45 to 9:45 p.m.

Penelope, Princess of the Peacocks – VIRTUAL

The Hotels and Motels of Winter Park event!

This exhibition showcases the hotels and motels of Winter Park throughout the city’s history. Highlights include the lavish luxury hotels of the late 1800s, roadside family motels, tourist courts, and the boarding houses used by the workers who built Winter Park. All of these hotels and motels played a part to help create the Winter Park we know today.

The museum is only allowing 6 visitors at a time to maintain proper social distancing regulations for guest safety.

61st Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival

 

The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival is one of the nation’s most prestigious outdoor art festivals. Each year more than 350,000 visitors enjoy the show.

Festival hours are as follows: Friday, March 20, and Saturday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Expect to see dazzling sculpture and glass for the big pocketbook as well as smaller works to please just about anyone. Enjoy Friday night’s jazz concert, children’s workshop village and school art exhibits, and great food and sidewalk cafes. Join us for this annual tradition in Winter Park.

Please be sure to leave your dogs at home when you visit the festival as they are not allowed to enter the event. Thank you for your cooperation.

When an Andrews Sisters USO performance is in jeopardy of cancellation, three earnest stagehands are determined to go on with the show. Mistaken identities and madcap adventures ensue… imagine Bing Crosby and Bob Hope in a road movie of Some Like It Hot! This musical comedy is filled to the brim with 30 songs made famous by the Andrews Sisters and other top artists of the era, including the showstoppers “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree,” and “Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive.”

The Three Stooges meet Hercules

 

This film is a part of our Popcorn Flicks series, which takes place in Central Park, Winter Park once a month and it’s FREE and open to the public!

Larry, Moe and Curly Joe work in a pharmacy where a young professor works on a time machine. When the machine is sabotaged by foil Ralph Dimsal, the Three Stooges, the professor and beautiful Diane are transported back in time to ancient Greece. The group lands in the middle of a fierce battle between rival armies. Meeting up with the might Hercules, they soon discover their appearance in the battle helped turn the tide in favor of the wrong side.

This project is supported by Orlando Science Center for the exhibition of Pompeii: The Immortal City, funded by Orange County Government through the Arts and Cultural Affairs program. The exhibit, Pompeii: The Immortal City, will be open to the public from June 6, 2020 to September 7, 2020 at Orlando Science Center.

9th annual Chili for Charity

 

The 9th annual Chili for Charity is the premiere chili cook-off event in central Florida! The event features creative chili dishes by popular local and favorite restaurants in the central Florida area.
Participants will have their dishes evaluated by a select panel of judges and compete for the coveted Peoples’ Choice award. Guests will enjoy all types of chili, drinks, live entertainment and networking while enjoying the beautiful Winter Park Farmers’ Market.

A bountiful silent auction will close out the evening and event proceeds will benefit the Rotary Club of Winter Park Charitable Foundation, which provides grants to more than 30 local charities annually. Over the last 20 years, the club has donated more than $800,000+ to non-profit organizations serving the Winter Park community.
