December at the Morse Museum

ID-10010495The Morse Museum in Winter Park has three great exhibits this month for art lovers. Take in the Lifelines-Forms and Themes of Art Nouveau where art from the period between 1895-1915 had an impressive impact on all European art culture during this time. Art Nouveau can be found in architecture, ceramics, furniture, and decorative arts.

This fantastic display is a glimpse at the movement that inspired writers such as James Joyce and Ezra Pound. Do not miss out on this interesting historical exhibit from our not to distant past.

Another interesting exhibit is the Vignette: The Art of Fountain Pens. Come and gaze at these decorative pens and their casings. Fountain pens of all shapes and designs these beautifully hand crafted pens were used up until the 1700’s.

The last exhibit of interest is the Focus Exhibit: Lockwood De Forest’s The Wreck.  Come and admire the first time viewing of this American master piece after years of extensive conservation.
