Fashion Week

Runway ShowPark Avenue Fashion week is the last stop for Central Florida’s event circuit, providing an unparalleled series of annual fashion events including the renowned runway show in Central Park’s West Meadow. Educational Update Breakfast

Track Shack’s Celebration of Running 5k Presented by Florida Hospital

COR small icon for surveyOn August 16 at 7:30am join us for a running and walking celebration! Track Shack’s 22nd Annual Celebration of Running 5k kicks off the 37th anniversary of the store and the Running Series. This is the first of six premier Orlando running and walking races. 
With the addition of a technical tee shirt and medal for participants, registration is limited to 2,500 entrants.

Old Fashioned Fourth of July

Winter Park FLThe City of Winter Park will present their annual Olde Fashioned 4th of July Celebration! Wear your red, white and blue, bring a blanket or beach chair, and gather with family and friends to enjoy this Winter Park tradition. The annual celebration will feature live patriotic music performed by the Bach Festival Brass Band and the Bach Festival Choir, horse-drawn wagon rides, and much more! Children’s activities will include the annual bicycle parade at 9 a.m. from City Hall to Central Park, and fun games and inflatables. Families and friends are also invited to stroll along Park Avenue and Hannibal Square to shop and dine at the wide selection of boutiques and eateries. FREE hot dogs, watermelon and water will be available while supplies last. Chips, snacks and sodas will be available for purchase. The Pedestrian & Bicycle Advisory Board will be providing a free bike valet service as an incentive for alternative modes of transportation in the beautiful downtown area. The bike valet is available from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the northwest corner of Park Avenue and Morse Blvd. In addition, The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art will present their Independence Day Open House. The museum, which is home to the world’s most comprehensive collection of work by American artist Louis Comfort Tiffany, will provide FREE admission to its galleries from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Winter Park Diamond Dawgs vs. Winter Garden Squeeze

Summertime Sip, Shop & Stroll!

Winter Park Sip & StrollThursday, June 12, the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce and Park Avenue Merchants Association invite you to experience the charm of Park Avenue with Summertime Sip, Shop and Stroll.

Spend the evening on a unique wine walk and stroll to your favorite Park Avenue area shops and restaurants.  Discover new merchants, check out the latest fashions, gift ideas, seasonal menu items and enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres along the way.

You must register for this event to attend, to download a registration form click here. Tickets are $25 per person and each reservation includes a commemorative wine glass and passport.  Tickets will not be mailed – confirmations will be emailed for registrations submitted through PayPal.

Attendees will receive their wine glass and passport at check-in, beginning at 5 p.m.  Check-in will be held in Central Park, at the corner of Morse Boulevard and Park Avenue. Guests must check-in by 7:00 p.m.

Crealdé School of Art Summer Camp

ID-10081670Do you have a child who loves art? Why not send them to a summer camp built around the visual arts?

Camps are offered for students ages 4 to 17, who are placed in age-appropriate groups of up to 13 participants. Students explore their creativity in photography, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, painting and drawing. Crealdé School of Art’s Young Artist Program offers over 20 classes a session for children who have completed kindergarten through high school. Hands-on instruction in painting and drawing, ceramics and sculpture, photography, printmaking, and mixed-media is conducted in a non-competitive environment by professional artists using well-equipped art-making studios.

Most classes for younger children are offered on Saturday mornings; teens have more options, meeting after school as well as on the weekend.

Behind the Curtain: MichLee Puppets and the Art of Puppetry

ID-10055741The  Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens is having a special exhibit about puppets and puppet mastery. Come out and experience the puppets of MichLee. Learn about the rich history of puppeteering and the intricacy involved with story telling and puppet creation.
