60th annual Easter Egg Hunt

ID-10074818Come to Central Park this Saturday April 19 for the 60th Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Presented by the City of Winter Park, this fun-filled event will provide as much excitement and laughs for adults as it will for youngsters.

Children up to 10 years of age can begin lining up at 9:30 a.m. The hunt will begin promptly at 10 a.m. Children with special needs are also encouraged to join in the fun.

Over 10,000 eggs will be placed throughout Central Park. As always, children who come up empty handed will still be able to enjoy special treats at the designated candy area.

Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens Easter Special

ID-10074818Come to the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Garden on Friday, April 18 from 10am-4pm for an Easter treat. In observance of Good Friday the Polasek Museum will be open to the public.

Visitors are encouraged to come and view the many liturgical works created by Albin Polasek including “The Victorious Christ” and “The Stations of the Cross.” Visitors will also have the opportunity to find 20 hidden traditional Ukrainian Easter eggs, or pysanky, in the historic home.

Trees for Peace

ID-100204276On Tuesday, April 08, at 11:15am in Central Park West Meadow, 150 N. New York Ave, the City of Winter Park and the Multifaith Education Project are proud to announce the 11th annual Trees For Peace Interfaith Tree Planting Project.

City officials will begin the ceremony at 11:30 a.m. and the program will be led by Louise Franklin Sheehy, director of the Multifaith Education Project. More than 100 students and faculty representing the Jewish Academy of Orlando, Geneva Christian School and Leaders Preparatory School will join together to plant trees for peace.
