Winter Park Sunday Running Group

 

 

The Winter Park Sunday Running Group has been a source of pleasant running experiences and friendships for hundreds of runners over 40 years. We encourage and welcome runners of all ages and speeds to join us on the course which offers exceptional scenery throughout Winter Park. The most popular distances range from five to ten miles, but the course easily accommodates shorter loops of three or four miles. It is our policy to ensure that people new to the group are warmly welcomed and that they do not get lost on the course.

Come get your cheer on as “local favorite” Kevin Kelly lights up the Winter Park Playhouse with his brand-new holiday cabaret…  Kevin Kelly’s Swingin’ Christmas Party!  Enjoy a fun evening of Cool-Yule-Tide-Tunes and a few lively “Sinatra-esque” standards. Playhouse patrons will remember Kevin from his many Mainstage performances including Forever Plaid, The Musical of Musicals, The Rat Pack Lounge and the critically-acclaimed Murder For Two. This unique form of entertainment showcases a different professional singer each month up front in the beautiful lobby bar. A truly “New York-style” cabaret, each performance is approximately 55 minutes in length with no intermission. Doors open at 6:30pm for General Seating.

Christmas Eve Open House

 

 

Visitors to the Museum receive free admission to the galleries all day. Live music by the Raintree Chamber Players from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Morse Museum houses the world’s most comprehensive collection of works by Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848–1933), including the artist and designer’s jewelry, pottery, paintings, art glass, leaded-glass lamps and windows; his chapel interior from the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago; and art and architectural objects from his Long Island country estate, Laurelton Hall.

Parade of Bands

 

 

The City of Winter Park will proudly host the 11th Annual Camping World Bowl Parade of Bands, featuring school bands from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and Big 12 Conference teams. As a prelude to the Camping World Bowl game at 5 p.m. at the Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium, school bands, cheerleaders and mascots will march through downtown Winter Park and perform a “Bandtastic Game Day Preview.” The parade will start at 11 a.m. at the intersection of Park and Lyman avenues. School bands will march north along Park Avenue through downtown Winter Park. After turning west on Garfield Avenue, they will proceed to Central Park where they will perform for all fans to enjoy.
