3rd Annual Carleton Place Winter Carnival

Poster2015-small versionThe 3rd Annual Carleton Place Winter Carnival is a day full of FREE, family winter fun! Join s on February 21 at 8am for the beginning of the festivities.

There will be a Merchant Market where you can get a pancake breakfast from 9am-2pm in the gymnasium at Carleton Place High School! Admission is FREE! The Winter Carnival Merchant Market is a place where vendors gather to show off their newest products and services.  With 50 vendors, there is sure to be a WIDE selection of wares for everyone to see!

Chill’s Funland is a place where children and families can get warm and participate in activites that will warm the body and heart. Open from 10am-2pm dont miss out on the Carnival Games, Ice sculptures, or Miss Teen Eastern Ontario and Miss Teen Canada International.

Come to the Winter Fun Pavillion and go for a dog sled ride, or enjoy one of the many activities going on, or get down at the Ápres Ski Outdoor Dance.

So much to see and do all day long, don’t miss out!

Fall Colours Studio Tour

Every year Westport hosts the Fall Colours Studio Tour, an occasion to view collections from our local artists right in their own art studios.

Mystic Drumz

ID-100235204The Carleton Place Public Library presents “Mystic Drumz & the Legend of Marshmallow Island,” on Thursday, March 13th, at 10am at the Carleton Place Town Hall Auditorium.

This will be a fun family event, full of world music and fascinating instruments.

Tickets are on sale now at the library for $3 each, and will be available at the door for $4 each.

We’ll be selling used toys, books , movies, games and much more. Local artisans and businesses will be showcasing their talents and products as well. The first 100 customers will receive a box full of goodies from local businesses and organizations.

This is a free community event. Egg Nog will be served all day long too.
