Golf ‘n Gals 9 Hole Golf League

ID-100210217Wednesday, July 16 join us for Golf’n Gals 9 Hole Golf League. We’ll be teeing off at the Celebration Golf Club at 5:30pm and meeting back at the club house for some drinks and relaxation.

Join us at Celebration Golf Club every Wednesday for our Golf N’ Gals Ladies 9 Hole League $20 for 9 holes of golf including cart (Rentals available at no charge if needed) Great way to network, meet new people, and of course have fun all summer long! A Sci-FI Fourth of July

CECelebration Town Center returns with “A Sci-Fi 4th of July”

 Celebration Town Center’s World Famous 4th of July event presents the second annual  “A Sci-Fi 4th of July” in beautiful downtown Celebration, Florida.

Celebration Town Center’s “A Sci-Fi 4th of July” will feature a movie themed costume contest at 7:30 PM, so come dressed as your favorite character for a chance to win big prizes. It will also feature a synchronized fireworks spectacular set to a Sci-Fi themed soundtrack, bounce houses for kids, live music by Oliver’s Queen, Gina Marie Incandela, DJ Tami, your host-Mark Daniel, and more as well as an unforgettable tribute to our Veterans. So, get ready to dance the night away in a one of a kind, family-friendly event with a fireworks show you will be talking about for years.

There will be something for people of all ages as Town Center’s KidZone will feature an assortment of inflatable games for kids and teens that will include a jousting area, bounce houses, face painting and more.

Additional music will be offered by The Dixieland Jazz Band. This unique group, made up of former members of the “Rosie O’Grady’s Good Time Band” will offer patriotic music for the whole family to enjoy.

Sponsored in part by Melia Suites Hotel, The Celebration Town Tavern, Celebration Sanitation, Axis Magazine, The Orlando Sentinel and Sam Adams,  this event will be “the can’t miss place to be” this July 4th.

As always, Parking and Admission are FREE!!!!

Free Park and Ride Shuttle will be available from 215 Celebration Place.

Come early, stay late, and have fun at this year’s “A Sci-Fi 4th of July”.

Fourth of July Parade

Celebration FLFriday July 4th, come to downtown Celebration fro a Fourth of July Parade like you won’t see anywhere else!

This year’s 4th of July parade will kick-off at 9 a.m., circling through Town Center and part of Celebration Village. The theme is “America’s Unsung Heroes.”

Civic and service groups, families and individuals alike are all invited to participate. Stick around until the end of the parade to find out the winning groups. The most important part of the whole day is to be patriotic!

*Lakeside Park will be available as a Celebration resident-only area on the 4th of July. Bring your family, chairs or blanket and enjoy the holiday! Please be aware you will be required to have your Celebration resident ID to enter Lakeside Park, including the pool and restroom areas.

World Swim Lesson

Lakeside Park Celebration FLJune 20 is World Swim Lesson day. Thousands of kids and adults at aquatics facilities around the world will unite to set a new global record for The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson. This program works to promote drowning prevention through education by focusing the energy of thousands of participants on a clear and specific message at the same time. This event is free and will be held at the Spring Park pool. Contact Parks & Recreation at 407-566-1200.

100,000 SUMMER LITERACY BOOK CHALLENGE

ID-10079243This summer the Osceola School District challenges your children to read all summer long. In order to send the children home with books to read the school board needs volunteers to help package the books to go home. There are 100,000 books to be packaged, and we need your help!

Every student from Kindergarten to grade three in Osceola County will receive summer reading books through the  Superintendent’s Summer Reading Challenge! Heart of Florida United Way to Host 22nd Annual Chef’s Gala

foodJoin the Florida United Way in attending the 22nd Annual Chef’s Gala on May 10. Event starts at 6:45-10pm. This event has been recognized as the region’s premier food and wine pairing event. The Heart of Florida United Way Chef’s Gala features exquisite cuisine from more than 20 of Central Florida’s top chefs, along with thoughtfully paired fine wines, live music and a silent auction.

Having raised more than $296,000 last year, Chef’s Gala is historically United Way’s largest fundraiser for education, income, health and basic needs program, which serve thousands of Central Floridians in dire need.

Guest speaker is Jose Calvo a Business Account Representative  for CaeerSource Central Florida.

Come to the Bohemian Hotel at 11:30am-1pm. This event is $15 per person.
