Studio Theatre, Perth is proud to host the 2019 Eastern Ontario Drama League One-Act Play Festival, November 8 – 10.
It’s going to be a November to remember at Perth’s Studio Theatre!

November 8th to 10th, the Studio Theatre will once again host the prestigious Eastern Ontario Drama League One-Act Play Festival, an annual competition that brings together community theatre groups from across Eastern Ontario. Each group will perform their best one-act play, a bite-size play no more than 1-hour in length. As in past years, awards will be given for acting, direction, costume design and more, as judged by a professional adjudicator.

This year, seven community theatres will showcase their one-act plays, including the Studio Theatre (two entries), theatres from Merrickville, Kingston, Constance Bay, Belleville (two entries), Peterborough, and Haliburton Highlands. There will be three sessions — Friday, Nov. 8 at 7:00 pm; Saturday, Nov. 9 at 1 pm; and Saturday Nov. 9 at 7:30 pm — each featuring three plays. The climax of the weekend is the Awards Brunch at 10 am on Sunday, November 10th, when the adjudicator will announce the winners in each of the categories.
