Mississippi Textile Museum September Exhibits
This month at the Mississippi Textile Museum there are exciting exhibits and activities for textile lovers.
From September 1-October 10, The museum would like to introduce the Inner Vision Exhibit celebrating Maximo Laura’s Peruvian textile art. His unique and colourful textiles feature Peruvian legends, mysticism, people and vision. Come and discover this masterful textile producers fine art and detail.
From September 1-30 the museum presents a special presentation of Naked COPTIC Dancers Exhibit. Discover Christian Egyptian textiles from the 3rd-12th centuries.
The Mississippi Textile Museum proudly presents Fibrefest, from September 7-8. This exhibit takes place at three locations: Mississippi Textile Museum, North Lanark County Agricultural Centre, and the Almonte Old Town Hall. Fibrefest celebrates art vendors, fibre art exhibits, and fibre demonstrations. Come and see what is being done in the textile community.
