Doors Open Perth Ontario

Matheson House Perth OntarioEvery year, Doors Open attracts large crowds across Ontario. From April to October, residents and visitors are invited to discover first-hand Ontario’s hidden heritage treasures, some of which have never been open to the public.

We all know that Perth Ontario is a hidden treasure, so discover Perth during Doors Open held on June 18th, 2011. So far the below locations will be participating:

• Algonquin College’s Heritage Institute (7 Craig Street, Perth)
• The Full Circle Theatre (26 Craig Street, Perth)
• Inge-Va (66 Craig Street, Perth)
• Matheson House, Home of the Perth Museum (11 Gore Street, Perth)
• Parks Canada Swing Bridge (Beckwith Street, Perth)
• Perth Legion Hall of Remembrance Museum (26 Beckwith Street East, Perth)
• Perth Manor (23 Drummond Street West, Perth)
• Perth Town Hall (80 Gore Street East, Perth)
• St. James the Apostle Anglican Church (12 Harvey Street, Perth)
• St. John the Baptist Church (38 Wilson Street East, Perth)
• Stewart Park (Market Street, Perth)

ART IN THE GARDEN!
Also taking place this weekend is the “Art in the Garden” event at Kiwi Gardens (687 Harper Road, Perth ON). So while you are visiting heritage building you can also get a change of scenery to the green outdoors. Art in the Garden showcases artists and crafts people among the extensive and mature display beds at Kiwi Gardens. Stroll through the walkways and exotic plantings to find all handmade works of art.
