Metal Meltdown Coming to Perth

A Metal Meltdown is headed for Perth once more, and metalheads in the town are buzzing with anticipation at the heavy metal concert’s 5th visit to Perth.

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 244 will be playing host to the metal show, which is taking place on the 14th of August.

The Metal Meltdown, which is now an annual event, used to have long delays in between concert dates. It wasn’t until the 3rd concert in 2008 that the concert finally took off and became a success. Because of this, Metal Meltdown then became an annual event ever since.

According to one of the event’s promoters, Aaron Hoffman, bringing heavy metal music to Perth has always been his desire. In his younger years, finding a dozen people who liked heavy metal was considered an accomplishment; now metal is a really big thing in Perth.

This year’s show is expected to get an audience of around 300 people, but that number could change if more people from outside Perth join to watch the concert.

Motorheadache, a Motorhead tribute band, will be headlining. The band will be performing a 90-minute set composed of songs from Motorhead’s 35-year career.
