Join the Perth & District Historical Society for “The 1812 Disbanded Military, Major Grodzinski on April 21st, 2016 at the Perth Legion.

Major John Grodzinski presents “The Legacies of Military Service”: the lives of the 1812 veterans following the war. This is the first of our series on the military side of the Anniversary.

Perth & District Historical Society Meetings are open to the public and are held on the third Thursday of each month, at 7:30 pm, at the Perth Canadian Legion Hall, 26 Beckwith Street East. A voluntary “Toonie Fee” (donation) is suggested for each meeting.

17th March Perth & District Historical Society Talk : the Ottawa Valley Railroads.

For our March 17 meeting, we are pleased to welcome Brian Gilhuly, and the popular presentation cancelled by last October’s blackout – ‘Ottawa Valley’s Early Railroads’, including our area’s 1865 Brockville to Perth line.
