The Perth Fair held at the Perth Fairgrounds every Labour Day weekend is a fun event for the whole family.  This year, see David Wilcox in concert on Saturday, September 5 at 8pm, and Tommy Cash on Sunday, September 6 at 7pm. Come enjoy the antique tractor pull, demolition derby, lawn mower races, parade, horse show, cattle show, poultry show, and competitions for giant pumpkins, tallest sunflower, largest unusual vegetable, eggs, maple syrup and honey. A great way to kick off the fall season!

Perth Farmers' Market – Food and Fun Workshops

Come to the Perth Farmers’ Market on Saturday mornings from May to October – and now on Wednesday afternoons too – at the Crystal Palace beside the Tay River Basin. You’ll find plenty of fresh, local and organic food, including veggies, fruit, meat, baked goods, bread, preserves, maple syrup, flowers, sandwiches, soups and more! The market also features a variety of educational events for adults and children. On August 22, September 5, and September 12 several farmers will be leading workshops on food preserving and storing. Perth Garlic Festival

Do you love garlic? At the Perth Garlic Festival, there is something for everyone! Enjoy a garlic rib cook off, garlic bread tasting, cooking demonstrations or learn to braid garlic. There will be 50+ garlic food and craft vendors, and live concerts throughout the weekend. Come to the Perth Fairgrounds on Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9, 2009 for a festival right out of a garlic-lover’s dream!
