This year Canada Day falls on a Wednesday, so come to the village of Westport for a small town style celebration of our nation.

The Canada Day celebrations in Westport this year are going to be amazing!

Don’t miss out on any of the activities we’ve got planned for you:

11:00 am – 02:00 pm: hot dogs and live music at the locks

03:00 pm: Bike Parade begins at the Rideau District Museum.

04:00 pm: celebration, music, children’s activities and Fireworks to follow at the Westport Lion’s Beach Club.

06:00 pm: parade and fireworks in Newboro.

CANADA DAY JULY 1ST…. A wonderful way to celebrate Canada’s Birthday! Join the North Crosby Recreation/Parks/Events Committee as they host July 1st events in WESTPORT AND NORTH CROSBY. 

3pm Commencement of Canada Day celebrations at the Rideau District museum in Westport with the Colour Party of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 542 3:15pm 17th annual Bicycle Parade…Decorate yourself, your bike or stroller in red and white and proudly walk through town! 

Parade starts at the Rideau District Museum, to Church St. then onto Spring St., the Westport Community center, with surprises waiting for the participants. 

4:00pm Lion’s Club Beach Many activities for young and young at heart including afternoon stage entertainment, petting zoo, non-supervised swimming, Canteen, air bounce activity centers, clowns, live band in the evening and more surprises to put a smile on everyone’s face.

10:00pm Spectacular Fireworks Display by licensed professionals. 

Also in NEWBORO – the Parks/Recreation/Events Committee volunteers organize an evening parade, hot dogs and cake in the park; support the Village in decorating their homes with Red & White and fly their Canadian Flags and they host evening fireworks!

Sparky and the Fire Department at the Fire Hall on Spring Street 4:15 p.m. Rideau Lakes Recreational Dancers at beach.

4:30-7:30 p.m. Rock Climbing Wall, Morphy Caterpillar, Ballon Twister
4 p.m. Free Shuttle Bus Begins
4 p.m. Bingo – Good old fashioned bingo in the Lions Club Beach House.
4-6 p.m. Gert and Aud Aster Will paint your face, and deliver smiles.

Pony Rides & Petting Zoo Provided by Westwinds Ranch

8 p.m. ZZ Top Tribute Band
This incredible band brings audience participation into the music, just like ‘ZZ Top’. The props, fury guitars, the stage production, is just like, Billy Gibbons Band. If you are a ZZ Top fan, we are sure you will enjoy the show. All Day DJ Services by Tom Gard
