RIDEAU LAKES HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY presents speaker Carolyn Klickemann speaking on Mel Bartholomew’s Square Foot Gardening starting at 7:15pm at the Portland Community Hall.  All welcome! ($5 Admission for non-members).

We meet the 1st Wednesday of the month from April to December at the Portland Community Hall, doors open at 6:30pm, we encourage members to come early, have some refreshments and mingle. Meetings will start at 7:15pm and end at 8:30pm.

We supply pens, paper, envelopes, stamps, talking points and snacks.  We invite you to join us, met new interesting people, and share your views with our local, provincial, and national leaders on topics that matter to you!

– Speak up about the importance of a healthy environment and our right to clean water.
– Insist on reconciliation and justice for indigenous peoples.
– Object to the Canada’s sale of arms to Saudi Arabia.
– Ask the Prime Minister to create a Department of Peace and our mayor to join Mayors for Peace.
