Rideau Lakes Studio and Garden Tour

The 19th RIDEAU LAKES STUDIO AND GARDEN TOUR What better way to spend the Canada Day Weekend than prowling the nooks and crannies of the Rideau Lakes area and checking out the gems to be found on this year’s Tour. This tour has become one of the most successful tours in the area and the artists are looking forward to showing off this wonderful country we live in.

The Tour continues to attract new artists while maintaining a core of favorites. Located in the heart of the Rideau Lakes district concentrated around the villages of Portland, Philipsville and Chaffey’s Locks, the 2017 tour will be held on Saturday, July 1st and Sunday, July 2nd, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. At some studios you will meet surprise guest artists who are unadvertised but are invited by their hosts.

Garden Tour Scheduled to Take Place in Rideau Lakes Once More

With the 2009 Rideau Lakes Studio and Garden Tour opening their doors to the public, those in the Rideau Lakes Township are in for a treat as they explore picturesque country roads and see the works and creations of artisans and artists from the region.

Started 12 years ago by a small band of friends connected by their unique talents, the annual event has become one of the most anticipated tours of the summer, with a new crop of artists joining the exhibition ever year. And with 11 years of experience, this years’ event looks to be better and more successful than ever before.

This year’s tour features new artists, with Bernard Beaudry, Rudolf Welz, Helen Bell, and Mary Chaikowsky joining the fun.

The studios scattered across the Rideau Lakes Township will be opening their doors to guests on the 3rd and 4th of July, a few days after Canada Day, from 10 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon. Free brochures will be given to guests, which will serve as guides throughout the tour and store areas. And if you’re not much of an art aficionado, the brochures will also contain information on the best restaurants and sights & sounds in the area.
