Thunder Bay’s Arbor Day Tree Planting Event

Tree PlantingOn May 12, 2012 from 1-4pm plant a Tree for the Future! Please join the City of Thunder Bay and the Thunder Bay District Stewardship Council in helping to green our community at Thunder Bay’s Arbor Day tree planting event. Event takes place at Boulevard Lake, Birch Point, Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Please bring your own shovel and work gloves, as well as any pails or wheelbarrows you may have. There will be some tools on hand as well as drinking water. The Arbor Day event will present other tree planting opportunities and environmental information. There will be live music and prizes. Also, find out what you can do today to help prevent the spread of Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) in our region from the Northwestern Ontario Emerald Ash Borer Task Force on site.

Attend this event or plant one of your own. Take action to create a healthy environment by planting a tree in your yard, at camp or on your school grounds. Boulevard trees can be requested through the three options provided by the City’s Parks Division including through the cost-shared, accelerated Tree Stewardship Program.
