Good Morning Winter Park

ceThe next installment of Good Morning Winter Park will take place on Friday, September 12, at 7:45am. This month’s topic is sustainability. As always, come to the Winter Park Welcome Center and network with fellow business professionals and listen to guest speakers give advice and lessons for you to use in your own business practices.

Winter Park Executive Women

ceWomen Empowering Women in Business. “Together we represent a wealth of knowledge readily available for the best business solutions and your greatest success.”

This women-only Solutions Group at the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, Winter Park Executive Women is a forum for members to network in a professional, yet informal atmosphere. Discussions include business solutions, as well as personal growth topics. The monthly meetings are held on the first Monday of every month (with few exceptions) over lunch. The cost for lunch is $20 for Chamber members or $25 for non-Chamber members. All late registrations and walk-ins will be charged $25.

Topic: An Interview with Robert Hill

Speaker: Robert Hill, Artistic Director, Orlando Ballet

Not only a renowned teacher and coach, Robert Hill has also served as principal dancer, choreographer and guest artist for ballet companies around the world. His vision and leadership have brought national acclaim to many groups he was associated with and in 2009 was named one of the Most Influential People in Florida. In an interview-style presentation, learn from Robert’s history of success and artistic vision.

Each year the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce coordinates a series of Business After Hours events to facilitate networking for its members. Each event is hosted by a different member business or organization in the community as a way to introduce members to there location, staff and products or services. Members look forward to these networking events and the chance to learn more about the community.

At $5 for members and $15 for non-members, this event is affordable and a guaranteed good time!

Educational Update Breakfast

Winter Park Political Mingle

Winter Park FLThe Winter Park Chamber of Commerce will host an evening of hob nobbing with the candidates for fall’s hottest races. Attendees can enjoy live entertainment, dinner and drinks. A straw poll conducted by the Orange County Supervisor of Elections will be taken to gather insight into a variety of local, state and federal races, as well as issues facing voters this election season.

Women’s S.A.F.E Classes

ID-10047297Keep safe with us on Thursday, July 17 from 6-7pm at the Winter Park Police Department. “S.A.F.E.” (an acronym for Self-defense Awareness & Familiarization Exchange) is a FREE unparalleled 2-hour educational awareness, crime-victim prevention program designed by the National Self-Defense Institute. This program encompasses Strategies, Techniques, Options, and Prevention – that provides teenaged & adult women with information that may reduce their risk of exposure to violence and introduces them to the basic physical aspects of self-defense. Register for classes online today!

Registration is free, but necessary to attend this event. To register go online to the Winter Park Police Department website to enroll. Be safe and we’ll see you there!

CoffeeTalk featuring Mayor Ken Bradley

photo_856_20060117Join us Friday, July 11 for another installment of Coffee Talk. Mayor Bradley’s Coffee Talk will be held in conjunction with the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce’s “Good Morning Winter Park.” If you have a latté beans to grind or you simply want to espresso your thoughts, CoffeeTalk may be the cup for you. The popular Coffee Talk series gives the community an opportunity to sit down and talk with the Mayor, City Manager and City Commissioners over a cup of coffee provided by Palmano’s Cafe, Coffee & Wine Bar. CoffeeTalk provides a more informal setting to share ideas, concerns and thoughts with members of the City Commission.

As always we will be gather from 8-9am at the Winter Park Welcome Center.
