Popcorn Flicks in the Park

We encourage you to bring a blanket, a picnic or snacks, and some family and friends and join us! Free popcorn for everyone. Rain date will be announced.

On May 8 join us at 8pm for Mary Poppins. Remember to bring friends and family, this is a free event for everyone.

22nd annual Jeannette Genius McKean “Run for the Trees”

Winter Park RacesJoin us on Saturday, April 26, 7:30am at the Showalter Field on 2525 Cady Way. In honor of National Arbor Day, the Parks & Recreation Department of the City of Winter Park will proudly host the 22nd annual Jeannette Genius McKean 5K Memorial Run for the Trees.

This exciting 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk will begin at Showalter Field, located at 2525 Cady Way, and finish on beautiful Genius Drive which is open to the public only once a year for this magnificent event. Funds raised from the event will support the Winter Park Tree Replacement Fund. Each “Run for the Trees” race participant will receive a commemorative T-shirt as well as a young tree to plant at a location of their choice.

ID-10021892Tuesday, April 08, at 8pm in downtown Central Park the Parks and Recreation Center presents at movie for the whole family. This film series features classic films for the whole family.

We encourage you to bring a blanket, a picnic or snacks, and some family and friends and join us! Free popcorn for everyone. Rain date will be April 24.

On October 10th, the Winter Park Parks and Recreation Department present, “House on Haunted Hill.”

Bring your blankets, snacks and friends out for a night of laughs and fun while watching the movie in Central Park. Film starts at 8pm, rain date is set fro October 24th.

Test the Waters Fishing Tournament

7-11am at Lake Island Park, 4555 Denning Drive

The City’s Park and Recreation along with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission present an opportunity for children and adults to come out and learn how to fish. Lost of family fun to be had! Come out and enjoy yourself. Even seasoned fishermen will have fun trying to catch the biggest fish for the tournament.

An outdoor initiative brought to you by the City’s Park and Recreation along with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Popcorn Flicks in the Park Presents “Shaggy Dog”

Thursday September 12 at 8pm in Central Park, there will be a free showing of the family feature “Shaggy Dog.” Bring a blanket and some snacks for this full length feature.

In the event of cancellation due to rain, the rain date is September 26.

Radio Disney Concert in the Park

Bring the kids to the Radio Disney Concert in Central Park at the main stage, on Saturday September 21, from 4-8pm. This free event comes to you by the Florida Hospital for Children.

Radio Disney proudly features guest artists Jack Skuller and Elle Winter.
