Fourth Annual A Night of Fire at Crealdé

Crealdé School of ArtTour Crealdé’s studios and galleries, participate in workshops and demonstrations including a bronze pour, the gas kiln firing and raku firing. For the first time this year, there will be a light-painting display over the lake. The Front Office will be open to register for classes. Enjoy live music, refreshments and storytelling around the fire. All activities are free. Food from the grill provided by Millers Hardware. From 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the Crealdé main campus, Winter Park.

Mayor Luncheon

ID-100173113Join us at The Alfond Inn for the 2015 State of the City Luncheon presented by Waste Pro. This is an opportunity to reflect on the remarkable achievements of our community and look forward to the year ahead. Mayor Kenneth W. Bradley will deliver his final State of the City Address, “The Best is Yet to Come.” In addition to the Mayor’s address, the luncheon will feature the City of Winter Park Employee of the Year presentations.

Winter Park Executive Women

ceWomen Empowering Women in Business. “Together we represent a wealth of knowledge readily available for the best business solutions and your greatest success.”

This women-only Solutions Group at the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, Winter Park Executive Women is a forum for members to network in a professional, yet informal atmosphere.  Discussions include business solutions, as well as personal growth topics.  The monthly meetings are held on the first Monday of every month (with few exceptions) over lunch.  The cost for lunch is $20 for Chamber members or $25 for non-Chamber members. All late registrations and walk-ins will be charged $25.

Music at Casa Feliz Historic Museum

Alborea Dances FlamencoCasa de Feliz invites you to come and enjoy some mesmerizing flamenco dancing by Alborea Dances Flamenco. Show starts on Sunday, December 7, from 12-3pm.

Alborea Dances is a multicultural Entertainment Dance Company, created and directed by Jenny and Ernesto Caballero, who have been dedicated to the world of dance for more than 20 years. They have combined their experiences as dance educators, performers, choreographers and events coordinators, to present dances from Spain, Bolivia and Middle Eastern countries. After many years of performing in International festivals and important venues around South America, Europe and the United States, life brought them to Florida to delight their audiences on the stages of Universal Studios, Sea World, Walt Disney World, Resorts, Hotels and Conventions. Also, they have been featured on The Travel Channel’s Great Hotels Series and Orange County TV’s “Central Florida’s World of Dance” series.

Established and emerging Central Florida artists exhibit their arts and crafts along the shores of Lake Sterling in the sculpture garden, including chiefly pottery, as well as sculpture, paintings, jewelry, prints and photographs. The Photography Department will have a Studio Sale with equipment, accessories and photographs by the late Rick Lang. Also the Front Office will be open to register for classes. Food trucks. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at the Crealdé main campus, Winter Park.

Full Sail TGA: Game Awards Celebration

ID-10057714On December 5th celebrate The Game Awards 2014 (formerly known as the Spike VGX/VGAs) during a special event in the Full Sail Live Venue. The awards pay tribute to the best games, designers, and animators of the past year and also include sneak peeks of some of next year’s most anticipated releases. During the event, there will be light food, prizes and giveaways for those students who attend. This event is open to all Full Sail staff and students and one guest per person (a valid Full Sail I.D. is required for admittance). 

Doors open at 8:00 p.m. There will be a Live Tweet Wall using the event hashtag, #FullSailTGA.

‘Conquering Kilimanjaro’ Film Screening and Q&A

ID-100129134On Wednesday, December 3, at 10am, Full Sail will host an exclusive screening for students of the new documentary, Conquering Kilimanjaro, which was produced by Bolder Broadcasting. The documentary follows a group of cancer survivors and cancer community advocates as they attempt to climb the world’s highest freestanding mountain in Tanzania, Africa. Following the screening, there will be a Q&A session with the documentary’s director, camera operator, and editor.
