Celebration Marathon and Half Marathon

Are you looking to do a marathon that can get you into shape, or possibly even qualify for the Boston Marathon next year? Maybe you just want to enjoy yourself at your own pace. If so, you will want to take part in the Celebration Marathon or Half Marathon this coming  January 26, 2014. There is still spots available,  the last date to enter the marathon is January 14th, so join today!

There will be prizes, race packets, and of course helping to raise scholarship funds for Osceola high school seniors.

The race course runs through some of the most scenic areas of Celebration FL. The course is ideally flat for first time runner, and as mentioned above, winners from this race qualify for the Boston marathon.

Come out and support a great cause and start a great healthy lifestyle by preparing now. Join a local running group already in training, or start your own, but make sure to get your race team’s name into Ken Zambito (tocmrd@gmail.com).

Dinner with Joe Barnes

Join the Celebration Foundation as we reminisce with Celebration’s first town architect. Joe Barnes was here helping to plan the community before the community existed. What thoughts went into making Celebration unique, how did the pattern book originate, what was the lottery. Stetson Lifelong Learning

Classes begin September 17 at Stetson Celebration

The mission of Stetson Lifelong at Celebration is to provide residents of Celebration and the nearby areas an educational place for intellectual discussion while interacting with other mature adults in a social environment. The effort is focused on membership, and those who are willing to volunteer their time and talents to teach, and develop courses and activities.

 

 

CLASSES

There are three sessions in the fall. Each session lasts three weeks. This fall, the sessions will begin on: Sept. 17th, Oct. 8th and Oct. 29th. Each class lasts one hour and 15 minutes, and there are three classes for each course. Courses meet on Tuesday,Wednesday or Thursday.

Pink on Parade

Join the walk to end breast cancer on September 29, 2013 at 9 am.

The walk path goes through Celebration and ends at the expansion to the Florida Hospital Celebration Health Women’s Institute.
