Perth OntarioThe ancient – and modern – service of EVENSONG is being offered at St. James the Apostle Anglican Church in Perth on Sundays evenings this fall. The service follows Evening Prayer in the Book of Common Prayer which is noted for its contemplative and spiritual language, and beautiful music. All are welcome!

Dates: Sundays November 16th and November 30th at 4pm.

The Advent Procession with Carols will take place, a very different sort of carol service which anticipates the joyful season of Christmas. St. James Church is located at the corners of Drummond and Harvey Street. Please call the church office at 613-267-1163 or see the website at stjamesperth.ca.

Perth Citizen's BandThe Perth Citizens’ Band will be holding its Annual Christmas Concert on Tuesday December 14th at 7:30pm. This year’s guests will be Perth’s Town Crier Brent McLaren, and the “Women of the Tay” under the direction of Mary Ellen Grigor. The concert will feature popular and sacred Christmas Music.

One highlight will be the performance of “Canadian Patrol” composed 100 years ago by Capt. John Slatter of the 48th Highlanders Regiment. Admission is $5 per person or $10 for a family at the door. The Concert is taking place at the St. James Anglican Church which is on the corner of Drummond and Harvey Streets in Perth Ontario.
