Heritage Herb & Wild Food Walk Perth
Join the Lanark Wild Food Club for a Heritage Herb Walk on June 18th 2016 at Conlon Farm in Perth.
Cookbook
The Lanark Wild Food Club has started to compile a book of recipes based on wild ingredients and these recipes have been coming in steadily.
Many are original recipes from local cooks. We are attempting to gather the recipes from Lanark although your favourite cookbook wild recipe will do. The proceeds from the book will be used to support our club as well as our partner – Mississippi Madawaska Land Trust.
Anyone can contribute a recipe by emailing it to peterfischl@mail.com. The only criteria is that the recipe include at least one wild ingredient although the more the merrier. All submissions will be greatly appreciated and wherever possible credit will be given to the contributor.
About the Lanark Wild Food Club
The LWFC was established in 2012 with the purpose to raise awareness of wild food, gather and prepare it for consumption. The group regularly holds foraging walks for members and newcomers to learn more about wild food in their own backyard.
