Held on the fourth weekend in July (July 26-29, 2012), this is the longest-running country fair in Ontario.

The Old Stone Mill is always a feature point of interest for visitors to the area. On the first day of the Fair there is an annual parade and the Mill Society enters a float designed on a historical theme. On July 28 there will be an Ice Cream Social – “Millie’s marvelous Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social” (immediately following the Delta Fair Parade). All Welcome.

The Old Stone Mill located in Delta Ontario will be a part of the Brockville and 1000 Islands Doors Open event taking place May 26-27, 2012. Some other local Rideau Lakes locations participating are: Green Gecko (Lyndhurst), Lyndhurst Historic Bridge, Township of Athens and Area Heritage Museum, Wendy’s Country Market (Lyndhurst), Wiltse Pioneer Cemetery (Athens), and Wing’s Live Bait & Tackle (Lyndhurst).

Every year, Doors Open Ontario attracts large crowds across Ontario. From April to October, residents and visitors are invited to discover first-hand Ontario’s hidden heritage treasures, some of which have never been open to the public.

As soon as the sap starts to run, the folks in Delta prepare for the annual Delta Maple Syrup Festival. Mark April 21 & 22, 2012 on your calendar, it’s the 45th annual celebration for entertainment, refreshments, and of course…maple syrup. This event draws people from all around. Lots of events happening over the 2 days with fun for the entire family!

The Fall Thanksgiving Celebration at the Delta Old Stone Mill will be taking place on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 9am – 4 pm and Sunday, October 9 from 10 am – 4 pm. Sale of home baking, preserves, local produce, crafts, refreshments and historical demonstrations. Make your own rope, shell an ear of corn or watch the blacksmith at work and pick up some freshly ground flour!

As soon as the sap starts to run the folks in Delta prepare for their annual Delta Maple Syrup Festival. Enjoy the festivities of the spring season at the annual Delta Maple Syrup Festival! This is an annual spring event in Delta, held on the third weekend in April (April 16-17, 2011), featuring pancakes with maple syrup served at the Delta Fair Grounds, visits to sugar bushes, and sales of maple products and crafts. The Delta Mill Society cooperates with the Festival committee by opening the Mill for special demonstrations, exhibits and tours.

There are only two weeks remaining to see the Old Stone Mill in Delta, lit up with candles and wreaths (December 11 & 18th). People come from miles around to see this beautiful seasonal display. As one local business person wrote, “the Mill’s windows glow like small jewels on cold winter nights”. This delightful exhibit is held on Saturdays as part of the Delta Country Christmas and Celebrate the Season Festivities.
