On August 24th, the RIDEAU LAKES HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY presents its Annual Garden Show at the Elgin Municipal Complex. The judged competition is open to all members of the Township. Show schedules will be available in May. Entries must be placed in the hall between 7:30am & 9:30am. Doors will then close for judging and will reopen to the public at 2pm for viewing and winners will be announced at 4pm.

ISLANDS AND SHORES OF BIG RIDEAU LAKE TOUR, (rain alternative, Aug. 24) Come for a wonderful boat tour of the Rideau Lakes on August 17 and again on August 20. Are you a shutter bug? The weekend of August 13 come to the village of Westport and participate in a documemories workshop with a local photographer. At the workshop you’ll learn to take better photos and transfer them into documemories — a photo journal of your own making!
