October Dance Sign Up

 

 

If you love to dance and want to learn, the Worely School of Irish dance and the NRG Dance Studio have new classes available for you. A great way to get exercise and meet new people. Come out and learn some new moves.

Popcorn Flicks in the Park Presents “Shaggy Dog”

Thursday September 12 at 8pm in Central Park, there will be a free showing of the family feature “Shaggy Dog.” Bring a blanket and some snacks for this full length feature.

In the event of cancellation due to rain, the rain date is September 26.

Radio Disney Concert in the Park

Bring the kids to the Radio Disney Concert in Central Park at the main stage, on Saturday September 21, from 4-8pm. This free event comes to you by the Florida Hospital for Children.

Radio Disney proudly features guest artists Jack Skuller and Elle Winter.

I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change

The Winter Park Playhouse proudly presents the second longest running play in Broadway history. A musical comedy that exposes all your private thoughts about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives, and in-laws, but were too afraid to admit it. Come out and enjoy your local cast of stars on the stage.

The play runs from Friday September 13-30, 2013.

Crealdé School of Art September Events

The Crealdé School of Art proudly presents two exhibit events of their students work through their exhibits, The Fellowship of Painting and Drawing, and Art From the Heart of Florida.

The Fellowship of Painting and Drawing

September 6-January 11

Past and present students of the school come together through mentorship, or work study exchange to present their diverse works of art from the painting and drawing department. This exhibit is curated by Vincent Sansone, Cermaics and Sculpture Director; and Rick Lang, Photography Director. The opening reception begins on Friday September 6, 2013 from 7-9pm.

 

Art From the Heart of Florida

This exhibit begins September 20, 2013 and it has two venues, first at the Jenkins Gallery 7-8:30pm, followed by a musical performance and continued reception at the Heritage Center from 8:30-10pm. Inspired by the diversity of talented visual artists who call Central Florida their home, and their work reflects that “Florida state of mind” in their productions. Focus of the show highlights sculpture, paintings, and photography. Curated by Peter Schreyer, Executive Director; and Henry Sinn, Director of Painting and Drawing.

Come and discuss Winter Park over a cup of joe with the Mayor. Bring your ideas, thoughts and concerns to be discusses in a relaxed setting. This is also a great opportunity to meet your local government officials as the City Commission will also be attending the Coffee talk.

Coffee Talk is brought to you by the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, “Good Morning Winter Park” series. This event takes place August 9 and as always is held at the Winter Park Welcome Center, 151 West Lyman Ave.

Full Sail university is having a meet and greet at the Full Sail Live July 29, 2013 from 6-7pm. Network with new and current students, make friends, meet staff and faculty members.
