Winter Park Outlook

TODO

Winter Park’s Robust Recovery is the focus of our 2020 Outlook, the Chamber’s annual regional-issues summit. In addition to featuring an update on Chamber activities and a brief presentation of the Winter Park COVID-19 Economic Analysis – a study underwritten by the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation and conducted by the Balmoral Group – the event will focus on the Winter Park Economic Recovery Task Force. After the study put into perspective the effects of the pandemic on Winter Park’s economy and businesses, the Task Force went to work on developing mitigation strategies for a robust recovery.

Betsy Gardner Eckbert
President & CEO, Winter Park Chamber of Commerce

Valerie Seidel

Winter Park Outlook

Register Now For The Winter Park Outlook Transportation Summit.

A regional approach to solving transportation issues has never been more important. Taking a lead role in addressing our traffic challenges, the Winter Park Chamber has gathered a panel of experts to discuss solutions at our annual Outlook luncheon, this year devoted to a Transportation Summit on Sept. 25 at the Alfond Inn.

From autonomous cars to the future of our roads and railways, our panelists will discuss emerging trends in the transportation industry and how they might best serve our residents.
We wanted to include an interactive element to gather your opinions on the state of transportation in our community. To that end, we will electronically survey attendees during the luncheon and share the results in real time.

Summit Panelists, to be introduced by Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings:
Jeremy Dilmore: Transportation System Management and Operations Engineer
FDOT District 5
Chairman, Central Florida Automated Vehicle Partners

Gary Huttmann: Executive Director of Metro Plan Orlando

Nicola Liquori: Chief Executive Officer for SunRail

Stephen Stansbery: Vice President of Kimley-Horn, Nationally-acclaimed transportation consultants

Alberto Vargas: Planning Manager for Orange County

In-depth conversation and commentary

Join the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce on September 17 for an in-depth conversation on the state of our community. The inaugural Winter Park Outlook luncheon presented by Orlando Health and Rollins College will feature local experts in the fields of government, business, health, real estate and education in a panel discussion moderated by Dick Batchelor at The Alfond Inn.
Unlike other update events, the panel will look ahead to what’s to come in our community, rather than recap news you’ve already heard. You can submit your questions for the panel at registration.
