NEW THIS YEAR! Pink on Parade will become the Pink on Parade 5k. This walk/run will be professionally timed and award the top three male and top three female finishers. Every walker and runner who finishes the race will receive a medal!

All proceeds from this fun, family-friendly event will provide hope and healing for patients battling breast cancer at Florida Hospital Celebration Health.

The Pink on Parade 5k takes participants along a beautiful route through the quaint Town of Celebration to rally for women battling breast cancer in our community. The start line is located outside the Florida Hospital Celebration Health Women’s Institute. Whether you choose to make this a leisurely stroll or a speedy run, your involvement raises support for the women in our community battling breast cancer. Gather up your friends and family and wear your pinkest pink attire. Strollers and pets on leashes are welcomed and encouraged*!

*Only strollers and pets on leashes are allowed for those participating as a walker. No strollers or pets are allowed as part of the timed 5k run.

Can’t join us in person for the race? Sign up to run our virtual 5k! It’s simple- register as a virtual runner and run a 5k wherever you are on October 4th. You can pick up your Pink on Parade shirt and medal from Florida Hospital Celebration Health starting October 5th!

Follow these four easy steps to start making an impact for women in our community:

1. Click the register button in the upper left hand corner of the page. Registration is just $35 per adult and $15 per child. Each registrant will receive a t-shirt and a personalized online giving page. Finishers will receive a medal. Team and family registration available. Don’t forget to prep your pinkest pink attire for the walk!

Shirt sizes are not guaranteed after 9/15/15, however we will do our best to accommodate everyone’s needs.

2. Let your friends know you are ready to pink it with a customized online giving page sharing your story, who you are walking for and why you support those battling breast cancer. Reach your $100 fundraising goal to earn a prize.

3. Spread the word to friends and family using your personalized online giving page social sharing tools and inspire them to make their generosity heal women in our community.

4. Leigh’s Blankies August Sew Dates

Leigh’s Blankies is a Non-profit Organization serving children all over the world. We make soft, snuggly Blankies for children in need of comfort and support.

Looking for an opportunity to serve? Want to learn how to sew!? Or would you like to sew Leigh’s Blankies from home? Come to a Sew Group and check out the Blankie making process through guided stations!

Our next sew dates are Thursday August 27, 2-5 and Saturday August 29th 2015 9am- noon, being held at Celebration Community Church, Cerebration, FL.

Hearts of RealityHearts of Reality is Back for its Seventh Consecutive year!

Join us August 6-9, 2015 for a Weekend full of TV’s hottest Reality Stars in Celebration, Florida to raise money for Give Kids The World.

Come meet the stars of hit reality shows like Survivor, Big Brother, The Amazing Race, and more as a part of this year’s Summer Sidewalk Sale in beautiful downtown Celebration.

The Hearts of Reality Event and each participant is raising funds for Give Kids The World, a non-profit organization that helps children with life-threatening illnesses and their families experience cost-free Central Florida attractions.

Summer Breakout incorporates a balanced schedule of indoor and outdoor activities. Each day has a structured timeline of fun and safe activities supervised by the Parks & Recreation staff.

The theme for Week 9 is “Art Around the World.” From Florida to China and everywhere in between, no matter where you are in the world there will be art. This week we will explore different mediums of art and how people around the world express themselves. Our field trip will be to the Orlando Museum of Art.

The theme for Week 10 is “Pirates and Mermaids.” Argg mateys and welcome to Pirate Week…but wait, Mermaids are also occupying camp. Search for treasures and sing songs on the raging seas, as this week is one for all adventures. Tee it high and let it fly, our field trip this week is to Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf.

A Sci-Fi 4th of July

New-Sci-Fi-Logo-540x676Celebration Town Center returns with “A Sci-Fi 4th of July”

Celebration Town Center’s World Famous 4th of July event presents the third annual “A Sci-Fi 4th of July” in beautiful downtown Celebration, Florida.

Celebration Town Center’s “A Sci-Fi 4th of July” will feature a Sci-Fi themed costume contest at 7:00 PM, so come dressed as your favorite character for a chance to win big prizes.

It will also feature a synchronized fireworks spectacular set to a Sci-Fi themed soundtrack, bounce houses for kids, live music by The Jonnie Morgan Band, Carly Jo Jackson (America’s Got Talent), Gina Marie Incandela, DJ Tami, your host-Mark Daniel, and more as well as an unforgettable tribute to our Veterans.

So, get ready to dance the night away in a one of a kind, family-friendly event with a fireworks show you will be talking about for years.

There will be something for people of all ages as Town Center’s KidZone will feature an assortment of inflatable games for kids and teens that will include a jousting area, bounce houses, face painting and more.

Additional music will be offered by The Dixieland Jazz Band. This unique group, made up of former members of the “Rosie O’Grady’s Good Time Band” will offer patriotic music for the whole family to enjoy.

As always, Parking and Admission are FREE!!!!

Free Park and Ride Shuttle will be available from 215 Celebration Place.

Come early, stay late, and have fun at this year’s “A Sci-Fi 4th of July”.

Lunch & Learn featuring Monarcha Marcet

The next Thriving in Place Lunch & Learn on June 10th will feature Monarcha Marcet from Adventure in Building, Inc. Monarcha will discuss “Ease of Use” in residential planning and renovation.

Also at June’s meeting, Lowe’s Home Improvement of Clermont will have a display table of easy home renovation items.

Join us at Town Hall 851 Celebration Avenue from 11:30am-1:00pm for lunch (cost is $5 per person at the door).

Summer Breakout Begins

Our annual Celebration summer camp will begin Monday, June 8, providing daily care for children ages 6-12, with exciting and interactive activities for all.

Parents/ guardians may sign-up their children for a variety of weeks, paying for one at a time or all up front.

More information on this summer’s scheduled field trips and information will be coming shortly!

Food Truck Friday

When: on the second Friday of each month from 5- 9 p.m.

Where: at Celebration Town Hall parking lot, 851 Celebration Ave

During the free event, residents and guests can enjoy more than a dozen of the best food trucks in Central Florida who will come together and provide delicious eats! Enjoy great music, children-friendly activities, and family fun!

If your family has a hard time deciding on what to eat because everyone wants something different, this is the perfect choice for dinner! Everyone gets to choose what type of food they want… and it is a tough decision! Stop by on the second Friday of each month from 5- 9 p.m. at Celebration Town Hall parking lot, 851 Celebration Ave.

**Although tables and chairs are provided, it is recommended that you bring a lawn chair or a blanket to sit on, since this is a popular event and seating is limited.

Art & Wine Stroll May 2015

Where: Market Street

Free event to all. 50 artists, live music, and wine! Come on down and check out the wide array of jewelry, paintings, drawings, crafts and more while sipping on some nice wine and moving to the grooves of the Grimes Alley.

Enjoy walking the brick-lined streets of Celebration Town Center and spend time with family and friends.

Celebration’s downtown is a traditional retail and business district modeled after those found in small American towns. Retail shops, restaurants, a town hall, a post office, and offices  are among the downtown businesses. Many of these buildings are situated along a wide promenade circling a lake.
