Celebration Hosts the Alfa Romeo Car Show 2010

Are you a car enthusiast who loves nothing more than ogling at shiny, rare cars? The Town of Celebration, Florida has just the event for you.

Happening on the 6th of November is the 8th Annual Alfa Romeo Car Show, hosted by the Mid Florida Alfa Romeo Owners Club. The event is set to take place at Celebration Town Center at 10 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon.

Starting with only 7 members in 2002, the Mid Florida Alfa Romeo Owners Club has enjoyed significant growth over the years, and now boasts of a tight-knit community of 110 members today.

Among the great cars you can expect to see includes a rare Fiat Bianchina, owned by Celebration’s own Freda Inda. Her vehicle also won the People’s Choice Award in last year’s car show. The event will also showcase a 1964 Alfa Romeo as well as a rare 1959 Alfa Romeo Giuletta Sprint.

And then you have the only car of its kind in existence, the Alfa Romeo Vignali, owned by Delmas Grenne. Manufactured in1953, the Vignali was originally built as a prototype for Alfa Romeo. Unfortunately, the automobile’s design wasn’t considered by the car manufacturer, leading him to halt all plans of mass producing it in the future.

All these and more await you at the Alfa Romeo Car Show 2010. Don’t miss this event!

Trail of Nightmares Returns to Celebration

The horrifying LaVene Family Trail of Nightmares is making a comeback here in Celebration, Florida this year, just in time to give residents a chance to have a bone-chilling and spine-tingling fun time!

The event will take place at Celebration’s Lakeside Park, where the tranquil walkway trail will once again undergo a transformation—from a peaceful path to something straight out of the most ghastly of nightmares. Creepy crawlers and fearsome beasts will haunt this walkway, emerging from the dark and slithering, crawling and jumping on you to give you a good scare.

These creepy gizmos and decorations were donated by Dr. Daniel LaVene of Maitland, Florida last year. Dr. Lavene has always put out his collection for a yearly outdoor haunt every Halloween, and last year’s event was his way of letting everyone see it on a grander scale. For 2010, organizers have promised that the event will have more high-end props, adding an even scarier element to the trail.

Aside from the haunted trail, there will also be lots of other activities the whole family can enjoy in Lakeside Park, including live music and entertainment, bounce houses, a hay bale maze and food & beverage stands.

Festivities begin on the 22nd and 23rd, taking a short break and resuming on the 29th and 30th of October. The Trail of Nightmares is open from 7:30 until 11:30 in the evening. Admission is $10.00 per person.
