Who Killed the Rat Pack?

Perth Ontario“Who Killed the Rat Pack?” is a fundraising event for the Alzheimer’s Society of Lanark County and the Classic Theatre Festival. Features Eddie May Murder Mysteries – Canada’s longest running producer of Murder Mystery entertainment – as well as a Golden Oldies Dance, and Silent Auction.

Performance takes place Friday, May 4, 2012. Cocktails at 7:00pm – Show at 8:00pm – Dance at 10:00pm.
Location: Timber Run Golf & Country Club, 154 Caldwell Road, Lanark
General Admission: (includes convenience fee): $50

A tax receipt of $20.00 is available with every ticket purchase.

The Classic Theatre Festival is a registered charitable organization (a project of Burning Passions Theatre), now in its third year as Ottawa Valley’s only professional theatre company, hosting some of Canada’s top artistic talent performing in classic hits from the golden age of Broadway and the London Stage during the summer in Heritage Perth.

Classic Theatre Festival PerthThe Classic Theatre Festival, Ottawa Valley’s professional summer theatre, located in Perth Ontario, has announced its 2011 summer season, and individuals wanting to take advantage of a Valentine’s Day special can save 15% on tickets if they order a gift certificate by February 14 (they can pick the actual dates for each play later this year).

The Classic Theatre’s summer lineup of professional theatre will include: John van Druten’s bewitching romantic comedy Bell, Book & Candle (which inspired the TV series Bewitched!), running July 8-31, and Jan de Hartog’s beloved comedic chronicle of a marriage, The Fourposter, August 5-28. All shows will run Wed-Sat at 8pm, with 2pm matinees Wed, Sat & Sun, at a new venue, the wheelchair accessible, professionally-equipped Mason Theatre, 13 Victoria Street, in Perth.

Perth Hosts Classic Theatre Festival

The newly established Classic Theatre Festival is set to open its inaugural season here in Perth this summer, and while it’s still a few weeks away, residents from the area are already buzzing about the event.

Locals and tourists in town have a chance to bag a season pass good for 2 people to the festival by emailing their names and contact details to info@classictheatre.ca. Draws take place every month starting next month on the 1st. Those interested in joining the contest can also fill up ballots and drop them at drop-boxes scattered across Perth, Carleton Place, and Smiths Falls.

The festival is Ontario’s newest professional summer theatre company, and will feature music from Broadway and the London Stage’s Golden Age, also known as the period between the 20’s and the lat 50’s. Laurel Smith, a veteran theatre producer and director, is the woman responsible for the event. She has worked with Toronto’s prestigious G.B. Shaw productions, producing shows for Modern Times Theatre, Burning Passions Theatre, and many more.
