City of Winter Park Olde Fashioned 4th of July Celebration

The City of Winter Park will present their annual 20th Anniversary Olde Fashioned 4th of July Celebration!

Wear your red, white and blue, bring a blanket or beach chair, and gather with family and friends to enjoy this Winter Park tradition.

The annual celebration will feature live patriotic music performed by the Bach Festival Brass Band and the Bach Festival Choir, Orlando Cloggers, Rockin’ Roadster Road Show, Clydesdale horse-drawn wagon rides, and much more! Children’s activities will include the annual bicycle parade at 9 a.m. from City Hall to Central Park, and fun games and inflatables. Families and friends are also invited to stroll along Park Avenue and Hannibal Square to shop and dine at the wide selection of boutiques and eateries.

FREE hot dogs, watermelon and water will be available while supplies last. Chips, snacks and sodas will be available for purchase. The city will be providing a free bike valet service as an incentive for alternative modes of transportation in the beautiful downtown area. The bike valet is available from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. behind the main stage in Central Park near Garfield Avenue.

In addition, The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art will present their Independence Day Open House. The museum, which is home to the world’s most comprehensive collection of work by American artist Louis Comfort Tiffany, will provide FREE admission to its galleries from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hunter Vision Watermelon 5k Event

HVWKidsHunter Vision sees vitality in this community and actively supports many causes. Gather friends, family and neighbors for a spectacular Independence Day celebration of fitness and fun! All runners receive a festive t-shirt, plentiful refreshments, ice-cold watermelon!

Restrictions- Safety is our first priority!

Bicycles, roller skates, in-line skates, and dogs will be prohibited from the race course. The use of headphones is discouraged.

Stroller Restrictions

• Stroller/jogger operators start behind designated stroller signage.
• Stroller/jogger operators may walk/jog no faster than 15 minute per mile, a safe operating speed. If your speed goes faster than 15 minutes per mile pace, you may be disqualified.
• Stroller/jogger operators must yield the right of way to runners. Stroller/Joggers can tip easily and cannot turn quickly. Please do not weave through packs of runners.
