Celebration Athletic Activities

ID-100202189Here are a list of community athletic activities for all men and women.

Running Club
Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, the Running Club meets and runs from 5:45-7:45am. Meet at the flag pole in Founder’s Park (in front of the K-8 School).

Fitness Firm-up
This group meets every Wednesday and Friday at 1pm in the Activity Room of the Celebration Town Hall. This non-impact class will strengthen and firm every muscle and it is designed for all age groups and fitness levels. ALL equipment will be provided. Just bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing. For more information, please email Linda at lindacarolpf@aol.com.

Celebration Marathon and Half Marathon

Are you looking to do a marathon that can get you into shape, or possibly even qualify for the Boston Marathon next year? Maybe you just want to enjoy yourself at your own pace. If so, you will want to take part in the Celebration Marathon or Half Marathon this coming  January 26, 2014. There is still spots available,  the last date to enter the marathon is January 14th, so join today!

There will be prizes, race packets, and of course helping to raise scholarship funds for Osceola high school seniors.

The race course runs through some of the most scenic areas of Celebration FL. The course is ideally flat for first time runner, and as mentioned above, winners from this race qualify for the Boston marathon.

Come out and support a great cause and start a great healthy lifestyle by preparing now. Join a local running group already in training, or start your own, but make sure to get your race team’s name into Ken Zambito (tocmrd@gmail.com).

Dine with friends in the open at one of Celebrations premiere food trucks. Seating is limited, so bring lawn chairs with you in case seats fill up quickly.

The truck line up includes: Nifty Fifty, Curbside Chef, Cheesecake Phactory, Fat Daddy’s BBQ, Posh Nosh, Chill’n Grill’n, Monsta Lobsta, Louis’ Bistro, Wild, Kona Dog, Yum Yum Cupcake, and Sweet City Gelato.

* Participating food trucks are subject to change.

July 4th event at Celebration Town Center – “A Flashback of 4th of July”

Celebrate July 4th with us in style with A Flashback of 4th of July “A Salute to Cinema” in beautiful Celebration, Florida.

The day will kick off with a 4th of July parade at 9:00am right through Celebration Town Center. The festivities for 4th of July “A Salute to Cinema” will begin at 5:30 PM, and by 9:30pm the cinema themed synchronized fireworks show will begin! Celebration Town Center has one the top firework shows in the Southeast, and this show will be in the theme of “A Salute to Cinema” A Flashback of 4th of July.

There will be a movie themed costume contest starting at 8:15 PM, so make sure you dress as your favorite movie character for a chance to win some great prizes!

The Town Center’s KidZone will have fun for all ages. There will be a variety of inflatable games for kids and teens, a jousting area, a rock climbing wall, face painting, and so much more to do!

With actor Justin Smith (The Vampire Diaries, VH1′s Single Ladies, Burn Notice, Meet the Spartans and more) hosting, there will be live music by Micah Read-Mo Geetz, DJ Tami, Jordyn Kane, and more. With additional music by The Dixieland Jazz Band. They are a unique musical group made up of former members of the “Rosie O’Grady’s Good Time Band” who will offer patriotic music for the whole family. There will be dancing and fun for all ages.

So come ready for a good time and bring your dancing shoes!

Come celebrate 4th of July with us at Celebration Town Center. Event starts at 5:30pm and there will be fun for the whole family.

Eighteen talented young musicians will be performing their last concert before graduating High School and going off to join university jazz bands. Benoit Glazer, is the volunteer director of the Boone High School Band as well as the Conductor of La Nouba, Cirque de Soleil, and a renowned musician.

March Porch & Yard Sale

Get ready for Celebration’s semi-annual porch & yard sale taking place March 3, 2012 from 8am – 2pm. Sponsored by the Celebration Parks & Recreation, the cost is only $10 per household. This fee covers advertising, signage, lists, and maps.
