Gananoque Farmer’s Market

 

Fresh locally grown produce, meats, baked goods, cut flowers and more! Meet your farmers and neighbours, enjoy a picnic supper in the park and live music from the bandstand. Our market is proud to offer only locally produced goods, for sale by the hands that made/grew them!

The Gananoque Farmers’ Market operates with the goal of promoting local market growers and providing access to fresh local produce & local goods. The market is run by volunteers and the involvement of members to help contribute to the success of the market. The market is managed by a Market Coordinator and a volunteer board (known as the Board) composed of at least two vendors. Market Schedule The Market operates from the first Thursday in June through until the second Thursday in October, weekly from 4 p.m until 7 p.m. The market location is at the Gananoque Town Hall Park.

Leaf and Yard Waste Cleanup

Residents are asked to place leaves and yard wast at the edge of the street or alley no later than 7 am on the date below.

  • West Ward (All West of the King Street Bridge) – April 29th – May 3rd
  • South Ward (All South of King Street & East of the King Street Bridge) – May 6th – May 10th
  • North Ward (All North of King Street & East of the King Street Bridge) – May 13th – May 18th.

Each street and alley will be picked up ONLY ONCE

The works yard will be open for brush, leaves and yard waste drop off on Wednesday and Saturdays from 8 am – 12 pm at the James A. Brennan Road Entrance starting May 1st, 2019. The Town has closed the entrance from Charles Street, North. Biodegradable paper bags must be used. Plastic bags, loose leaves and loose yard waste will not be picked up.

TOM WILSON is the best selling author of Beautiful Scars as well as a three-time Juno winning Canadian musician with multiple gold records. He has written for and recorded songs with Sarah McLachlan, City and Colour, Jason Isbell, Colin James, Lucinda Williams, Billy Ray Cyrus, Mavis Staples and The Rankin Family. His band Junkhouse has scored eleven top-ten hits, and his iconic, Americana-fuelled Blackie and the Rodeo Kings was widely publicized for its presence on George Bush’s iPod.
